Company Director and Operations Manager

Rodney Holton has 18 years experience in Boat Building and Repair.
He commenced his apprenticeship with Thackwray Yachts in 1984 and
completed it with WeideweckBoat builders in 1991.
Following a two-year period of consolidation in New Zealand, he spent time offshore working with international boat building companies where he was employed as a welding specialist and head of alloy construction.

One of his significant achievements while working with Marine Steel Ltd was undertaking responsibility for construction of 10 meters of new bow for "Shenandoah", a three masted steel-hulled schooner built in 1902.

Subcontracted to Pearlking Holdings in Australia, he was responsible for fabricating a 23-meter charter fishing vessel. The design called for a very well developed bow section, which the designers considered, would require the plate to be rolled from 8 meters aft.
With the exception of two small sections, the entire project was undertaken by Rodney.

In the opinion of professional Boat builders viewing the work, including the builder of Australia's Americas Cup entry Australia Two, the vessel was the best-faired aluminum boat they had seen. They agreed that the quality of the work and standard of aluminumwelding and construction was exceptional.

Rodney is held in high regard for his fabrication and boat building skills. His experience in Mega-Yacht Building and his project coordination skills have
ensured tight scheduled projects to be completed on time and within budget.
