Company Director and Operations Manager

Andrew Holton has 15 years experience in Boat Building and Repair. He commenced his apprenticeship with Weideweck Boat builders in 1986 and completed his time in 1991. During his apprenticeship he worked on several large alloy and steel construction projects, including:

· Responsibility for all hull plate wheeling on a Ron Holland design, 120' sloop
· An 80' Steel Double-ended Salthouse designed sloop
· An 80' Salthouse designed semi-displacement alloy launch
· Lofting, marking and cutting frames and floors for 70' Derefoot Designed ketch
· Setup and Hull plating for vessel

Following a period of consolidation in New Zealand, Andrew spent time off shore working with international boat building companies where he was employed as a welding specialist. During this time, he developed a broad base of knowledge in the fabrication and construction of boats using alloy, steel and other marine based materials. His responsibilities included supervision of boat building teams in the refitting and refurbishment of major yachts and powerboats.
